The librarian, who had a radically short haircut for small town Rhode Island, said, “Oh, this is such a beautiful story. I cried. I mean, I’m not a lesbian, but it’s really wonderful.” I said very awkwardly, “Uh, yeah, I’m not… I’m not a lesbian either.”
